Why we made these free
Every one of these tools is something teachers already open a dozen times a week, usually on a site covered in adverts that wants an email address first. There is no good reason for a countdown timer to need an account, so these do not have one.
They are built the way a classroom actually works: legible from the back of the room, usable with a finger on an interactive whiteboard, and quick enough to open mid-lesson without breaking the flow of what you were doing. Nothing you type is sent anywhere — class lists stay in the browser on the device you typed them on.
They come from Classroom Hub, where the same tools sit alongside your real class list, class points, gradebook and homework, so you are not pasting names into a box every time. But the tools here are free, standalone and yours to use whether you ever try that or not.
